Event Coordinator

Location: Dallas, Texas (Preston Center)

55 Seventy is a private membership club that is reinventing the wine club experience by creating a community of life long learners with through our unique programming. Our members store wine in our cellar and have the opportunity to discover top-tier, small production wineries from around the world at our upscale tasting room in Preston Center. We offer a wide variety of programming and events such as educational seminars, live music, poker night, trivia night, mahjong, executive speaker series, meet and greets, traditional wine dinners, wine and food pairings, casual tastings, etc.

We are seeking an Event Coordinator to join our team and help elevate our member’s experience. This person will assist with the execution of all programs and events (club events and private member events) which includes a full calendar of weekly social, educational, and culinary events. 

The annual salary range for the position is negotiable for the right candidate but we anticipate a range of $45,000 - $55,000 + bonus, medical benefits and 401k plan and company paid travel (yes we will pay for your vacation!). Projected start date is July 2022.

The Event Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the execution of all programming and events in the club. They will work closely with the team to maintain and execute a dynamic schedule of creative, social, educational, and culinary events to exceed the expectations of our members. This position will play a pivotal role in defining the membership experience and developing long term relationships with the members.

This position will require the candidate to work frequent nights and weekends!

Job duties & responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and execution of on-brand events each week for members to attend and enjoy. Event size ranges from 5 – 50 members and range from casual happy hours to curated elegant wine dinners.

    • Event examples are wine dinners, tastings, poker night, women’s executive series, cooking classes, art exhibits, live music, live art shows, wine education classes, etc.

  • Assist with the management of schedules for 100+ wine tastings each year.

  • Coordinate the successful execution of each club event and private events held by members.

  • Create and/or facilitate the creation of marketing materials for events to generate interest and registration from members.

  • Analyze and report registration, attendance, satisfaction for each event.

  • Assist with communication to management and provide suggestions and feedback for future events.

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Strong passion for hospitality, events, and wine, more importantly a passion for customer service and delivering an exceptional guest experience.

  • Two (2) years of experience in a related role requiring guest satisfaction, coordination, strategic planning or general management.

  • Exceptional communications skills, both verbally and written.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to use modern tools to stay organized, follow up on tasks and emails, and minimize items that “fall through the cracks”.

  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, travel industry management or related field; but relevant experience can substitute for degree requirements.
